Melia Abou-Hanna

General Dentist

Dr. Melia is a dedicated and compassionate dentist with a diverse background that combines both engineering and dentistry. After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious University of Michigan, she further honed her expertise by completing Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) training at Columbia University. In addition to her dental credentials, Dr. Melia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University, providing her with a strong foundation in precision and problem-solving. Before transitioning into dentistry, she worked as an engineer at Caterpillar Inc., where she applied her technical skills in a different field before following her true passion for dental care.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Melia is passionate about a variety of personal interests. She enjoys cooking, long-distance running, spending time with friends and family, and perfecting her espresso-making skills. A tradition she holds dear is traveling to Nazareth almost every year to visit her family, as family is at the core of her values. She also frequently travels back to Illinois to spend time with her niece and nephew, cherishing those moments. Among her most memorable travel experiences is visiting Sydney, Australia, which she considers one of the coolest places she’s been. Dr. Melia also has a favorite spot to unwind—Bar Pitti in SOHO, where she enjoys dining out with loved ones.
