Orthodontist
Dr. Mackenzie Stephens graduated Magna cum laude from Hofstra University before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She then completed her specialty training and received her Masters of Science in Orthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident and was awarded Chief Resident Award of Excellence for her contributions.
Throughout her training, Dr. Stephens was recognized for her academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to research. Her honors include induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the Everett Shapiro Endowed Prize in Orthodontics, and first-place recognition in the postdoctoral category at the Annual Birnberg Research Symposium. During her orthodontic residency, she conducted clinical research and currently participates in research evaluating orthodontic-induced alveolar bone loss. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented research nationally through the American Dental Education Association, and is an active member of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Stephens is dedicated to creating healthy, functional, and confident smiles while fostering a positive and comfortable experience for every patient. Outside of orthodontics, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and staying active.
